For me the main master was time, and therefore both the characters are the servants. However, setting it on a tube train, the driver is at one both master and servant, but it can also be considered that maybe this is about fate.

It was important to me that the scene didn't look quite real, and the textures are deliberately hand painted (in painter) to also further add to the painterly feel I was attempting. Modelled and rendered in Max 5. The man sitting, is also modelled to make him look completely weary, and as such his face is perhaps not quite 'real'.
